NEBZMART G contain glycopyrronium which belongs to a group of medicine called anticholinergics. It is used for maintenance treatment of COPD. COPD is a long-term (chronic) lung disease that include chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or both. It relaxes the muscles around the airways in your lungs and prevent symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, chest tightness and shortness of breath. It should be taken 2 times each day to improve symptoms of COPD for better breathing and is intended for long-term use.
It is not used to treat sudden or acute symptoms of COPD. Always have a short-acting beta2-agonist medicine (rescue inhaler) with you to treat sudden symptom of COPD. If you do not have a rescue inhaler, contact your healthcare providers to have one prescribed for you.
This medicine is strictly not recommended for use in children and adolescents below the age of 18 years. The common side effects are shortness of breath, and urinary tract infections. Before taking this medicine tell your doctor if you have ever had kidney disease, heart disease, liver problems. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking this medicine.
