NEBIVOL 2.5MG TABLET contains Nebivolol which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-hypertensives. It is used in the treatment of essential hypertension (high blood pressure). It also controls heart pumping strength and in the treatment of mild and moderate chronic heart failure (above 70 years of age).
Along with NEBIVOL 2.5MG TABLET your doctor might advise you to make certain lifestyle changes such as healthy eating, sleep, weight and stress management, quitting smoking and alcohol. Your doctor may ask you to undergo some blood tests before starting the treatment with NEBIVOL 2.5MG TABLET.
NEBIVOL 2.5MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients having liver, kidney, lungs or heart disease, circulation problems, untreated pheochromocytoma, or diabetic ketoacidosis.
Before starting the treatment with NEBIVOL 2.5MG TABLET inform your doctor if you have diabetes or an overactive thyroid gland.
Use of NEBIVOL 2.5MG TABLET is not recommended in children, pregnant or breast-feeding women. Consult your doctor before taking.
Some of the most common side effects of taking NEBIVOL 2.5MG TABLET are headache, dizziness, fatigue, weakness, and insomnia. Inform your doctor if any of the above side effects worsen.
NEBIVOL 2.5MG TABLET works specifically on the heart by slowing down the heart rate and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body. This results in lowering down of the blood pressure.
Take NEBIVOL 2.5MG TABLET as advised by your doctor. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Stop taking NEBIVOL 2.5MG TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Nausea or Vomiting:
Take this medicine with, or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily or spicy foods.
Constipation:
Eat plenty of fiber rich foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables, and cereals and drink plenty of water. Exercise more regularly.
Diarrhea:
Drink lots of fluids, such as water or fruit juice to keep yourself hydrated. Do not consume any medicine on your own without consulting your doctor.
Headache:
Try to rest and relax. Do not involve yourself in exertive activities. Apply a pain-relieving balm on your forehead. Ask your doctor if it doesn’t improve.
Dizziness:
Get plenty of sleep. Drink enough water and keep yourself hydrated. Do not consume any medication on your own. Ask your doctor if it doesn’t improve.
NEBIVOL 2.5MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless considered clearly necessary. Consult your doctor if you are, planning to or become pregnant during while taking NEBIVOL 2.5MG TABLET.
NEBIVOL 2.5MG TABLET is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking it.
Do not drive or operate any machines if you experience dizziness or fatigue after taking NEBIVOL 2.5MG TABLET.
NEBIVOL 2.5MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease or patients who undergoing dialysis. Consult your doctor before taking NEBIVOL 2.5MG TABLET.
NEBIVOL 2.5MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with liver disease. Consult your doctor before taking.
Do not take NEBIVOL 2.5MG TABLET if you are allergic to Nebivolol or to any other ingredients of this medicine.

NEBIVOL 2.5MG TABLET is not recommended in patients having heart diseases such as low blood pressure, very slow heartbeat, heart rhythm problems, or heart failure and should be used with caution in patients having prinz metal angina, untreated chronic heart failure, and first degree heart block.
