INTRODUCTION

MUPRINEX contains Mupirocin an antibiotic, which is used to kill bacterial skin infections such as impetigo, folliculitis and boils which work by stopping the growth of certain bacteria.

Mupirocin which belongs to antibiotics produced through fermentation of Pseudomonas fluorescens which inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to bacterial isoleucyl t-RNA synthetase. It has bacteriostatic property at minimum inhibitory concentrations and bactericidal properties at the higher concentrations reached when applied locally.

Always use MUPRINEX, exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Before using this medicine, tell your doctor, if you have or had any allergic, skin infections, are pregnant women or   breastfeeding mothers. The common side effects are burning sensation in skin. Avoid contact with eyes and nose, if accidentally gets, wash them thoroughly with water.

HOW MUPRINEX WORKS

Mupirocin works by stopping the growth of bacteria.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Use MUPRINEX as prescribed by your doctor. It is for external use only. It should be applied to the infected area of skin up to three times a day. Check the label for directions before use.

Do not use if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Mupirocin.

OTHERS

Inform your doctor if you have or had,

  • open wounds or damaged skin
