MOXIBOND 228.5 MANGO FLAVOUR DRY SYRUP contains a combination of Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to treat bacterial infections such as middle ear and sinus infections, respiratory tract infections, genital tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections such as dental infections, bone and joint infections, septic abortion (any abortion complicated by uterine infection) and abdominal infections. The symptoms of a bacterial infection may include fever, difficulty breathing, pus formation and pain.
Do not take MOXIBOND 228.5 MANGO FLAVOUR DRY SYRUP if you have a history of hypersensitivity to beta-lactams, including penicillin and cephalosporins or any other ingredients of this medicine. MOXIBOND 228.5 MANGO FLAVOUR DRY SYRUP is not recommended for use if you have a history of amoxicillin-clavulanate-associated jaundice or hepatic dysfunction.
Before taking MOXIBOND 228.5 MANGO FLAVOUR DRY SYRUP, inform your doctor if you are suffering from hepatic or renal impairment. MOXIBOND 228.5 MANGO FLAVOUR DRY SYRUP helps in treating bacterial infection where amoxicillin is a penicillin that works by inhibiting the enzymes that help in the synthesis of an integral structural component of the bacterial cell wall whereas clavulanic acid is a beta-lactam (structurally related to penicillin) that works by inactivating an enzyme, namely beta-lactamase, thereby preventing the inactivation of amoxicillin.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Syrup/Oral Suspension:
Take MOXIBOND 228.5 MANGO FLAVOUR DRY SYRUP as advised by your physician. Shake well before use. Use the dosing syringe, cup or spoon supplied with the pack to measure the dose accurately. A dosing syringe is recommended to dose a child below the age of 3 months accurately. Your doctor will determine the correct dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight and disease condition.
Dry Syrup/Dry Suspension:
Take MOXIBOND 228.5 MANGO FLAVOUR DRY SYRUP as advised by your physician. Open the sachet, reconstitute the dry powder thoroughly in a glass of water and swallow the mixture immediately. Your doctor will determine the correct dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight and disease condition.

- Stevens-Johnson syndrome (widespread rash with blistering and skin peeling)
- exanthemous pustulosis (widespread red rash with blisters containing pus)
- bullous exfoliative dermatitis (itchy, red, scaly rash with bumps & blisters)
- signs of drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms such as flu-like symptoms, rashes, fever and swelling in glands
- inflammation of the liver (hepatitis)
- jaundice
- severe diarrhoea

Diarrhoea:
Drink lots of fluids, such as water to keep yourself hydrated. Try to avoid taking any medicine on your own to treat diarrhoea and consult your doctor if the symptom gets worse.
Nausea and vomiting:
Try to take MOXIBOND 228.5 MANGO FLAVOUR DRY SYRUP with or just after a meal or a snack. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating rich or spicy food. Consult your doctor if the symptom gets worse.
