MINSCALP PLUS 5% TOPICAL SOLUTION is a combination of Minoxidil and Aminexil which belongs to the group of medicines called Vasodilating agents. It is used to treat alopecia androgenetica (male pattern baldness).
MINSCALP PLUS 5% TOPICAL SOLUTION is not recommended for use in patients having high blood pressure, hair loss due to drug treatment, total baldness, complete loss of body hair, shaved scalp, scalp diseases, unhealthy scalp and taking treatment for cancer or loss of iron.
MINSCALP PLUS 5% TOPICAL SOLUTION should be used with caution in those who have heart diseases such as abnormal heart rhythms or rate and chest pain.
MINSCALP PLUS 5% TOPICAL SOLUTION should not be used in pregnant and breast-feeding women. This medicine is not recommended for use in children and adolescents aged below 18 years.
The most common side effects of using MINSCALP PLUS 5% TOPICAL SOLUTION are headache, itching or dermatitis and unusual hair growth. Consult your doctor if any of these worsen or doesn’t improve.
MINSCALP PLUS 5% TOPICAL SOLUTION helps in the treatment of alopecia where Minoxidil is thought to work by increasing the blood flow to the hair follicles on your scalp. Aminexil helps in the treatment of hair loss by promoting hair growth for those having the condition of alopecia. It increases the blood circulation to hair follicles which triggers an increase in hair growth and also prevents the build-up of collagen around hair shaft and hardening of the shaft.
Always apply MINSCALP PLUS 5% TOPICAL SOLUTION as directed by your physician. Make sure that your hair and scalp are completely dry before applying MINSCALP PLUS 5% TOPICAL SOLUTION. Avoid applying MINSCALP PLUS 5% TOPICAL SOLUTION around your eyes, including eyelids, nose and mouth. Nausea:
Stick to simple meals while using this medicine. Avoid eating oil rich or spicy foods. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
Headache:
Try to take rest and don’t involve yourself in exertive activities. Apply a pain-relieving balm on your forehead if necessary. If headache does not improve, consult your doctor.
