What MINESSE is used for?

  • It is an oral contraceptive pill used to prevent pregnancy

Talk to your doctor if you:

  • are allergic to any other ingredients of this medicine
  • have bleeding disorders
  • have or had heart problems
  • have diabetes  
  • have hypertension
  • have very high level of fat in the blood (cholesterol or triglycerides)
  • have migraine
  • have or had Breast cancer 
  • have liver or kidney problem
  • have Vaginal bleeding
  • have Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis (chronic inflammatory bowel disease)
  • have hepatitis C
  • This medicine is not recommended during breastfeeding
  • If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
[CHILDADOLESCENTS]
  •  Do not drive or operate any machines while taking this medicine since it may cause dizziness

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • medicines used to treat Hepatitis C Virus infections
  • phenobarbital, phenytoin, primidone, carbamazepine or topiramate (used to treat epilepsy)
  • rifabutin, rifampicin (used to treat tuberculosis)
  • griseofulvin, itraconazole, voriconazole, fluconazole (used to treat fungal infections)
  • clarithromycin, erythromycin (used to treat bacterial infections)
  • verapamil diltiazem
  • etoricoxib
  • modafinil
  • troleandomycin (retention of bile in the liver)
  • lamotrigine
  • cyclosporine
  • theophylline
  • tizanidine
  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
  • Swallow the medicine with a glass of water
  • Do not crush or chew the medicine

If you take more  MINESSE

  •  If you take more of this medicine, talk to your doctor or go to your nearest hospital immediately
  • Symptoms of overdose: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain), breast tenderness, dizziness, drowsiness/fatigue and upset the menstrual cycle (bleeding

If you forget to take  MINESSE

  • If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember it, however if it is nearly time for the next dose skip the missed dose

If you stop taking  MINESSE

  •  Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells to do so

  • liver or biliary disorders (such as hepatitis or abnormal function of the liver)
