MICHELLE contains Progesterone which belongs to the group of medicines called progestins. It is used for the treatment of infertility in females due to a deficiency of female sex hormone called progesterone during the menstrual cycle. During the luteal phase of menstrual cycle, the hormone progesterone produced may be either insufficient or absent to maintain the lining of uterus and support early pregnancy. MICHELLE provides progesterone and supports your new pregnancy by maintaining the lining of the uterus.

MICHELLE is for intra-vaginal use only. Once the gel is inserted into your vagina, progesterone would be slowly released into the bloodstream throughout the day. It can stay in the vagina for several days. During this time, a beige-brownish clumpy or cloudy white discharge can be seen. This discharge can cause pain, swelling or irritation in your vagina, but it is nothing to worry about.

The most common side effects of using this medicine are headache, tiredness, stomach pain or tender breasts. Contact your doctor if these symptom bothers you. Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you have or ever had unexplained vaginal bleeding or previous miscarriage. Your doctor will suggest you a suitable alternative therapy. Consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant, because MICHELLE is generally not used during pregnancy. However, if this medicine helps you to get pregnant, you may be asked to continue using it further, to support your new pregnancy.

  • Treats infertility in females due to a deficiency of progesterone

Progesterone binds to and activates the progesterone receptor (PR) present in the stromal cells during the secretory phase of menstrual cycle and during pregnancy. It helps to establish and maintain pregnancy by maintaining the lining of uterus and by supporting the development of embryo during early pregnancy.

Apply this medicine as directed by your physician. It is for intra-vaginal use only. Use the pre-filled applicator, supplied in the pack to apply the medicine. Hold the applicator by the thick end and face the thin end down to the ground. Shake the applicator down to move all the gel inside to the thin end.

Remove the cap from thin end of the applicator. Lie down with your knees bent. Carefully insert the applicator into your vagina and press the air tank, to deliver the gel into your vagina. Discard the applicator after use. Continue to use this medicine, as long as your doctor tells you to do so, to obtain better results.
