MEWELL contains Levodropropizine which belongs to a group of medicines called antitussives. It is used to treat dry cough and suppresses the cough by reducing the activity of the cough center in the brain. Dry cough (non-productive cough) is a cough where no phlegm or mucus is produced which is associated with a tickly throat, and may be caused due to cold, flu, allergies, or throat irritants.
Levodropropizine is an effective antitussives medicine that shows significant better outcomes and overall efficacy in reducing cough intensity, frequency and night awakenings. Before taking MEWELL inform your doctor if you have liver, kidney or heart problems, are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is not recommended for children below 2 years of age. The common side effects are nausea, drowsiness, headache and fatigue.

Drowsiness:

Rest and drink plenty of fluids. Apply a wet or cold cloth to forehead and rest in a quiet, comfortable, dark room.

MEWELL should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Consult your doctor for advice.
Do not drive or handle any machines if you experience drowsiness while taking this medicine.
Interaction with alcohol is unknown, consult your doctor before consumption.
MEWELL should be used with caution in patients with severe renal failure. Consult your doctor for advice.
There is limited information available for patients with liver disease, hence MEWELL should be used with caution if you have active liver diseases. Consult your doctor for advice.
