Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
- are allergic to Betahistine dihydrochloride or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
- have a pheochromocytoma, a rare tumor of the adrenal gland
- have a stomach ulcer (peptic ulcer)
- have asthma
- have nettle rash, skin rash or a cold in the nose caused by an allergy, since these symptoms may be exacerbated
- have low blood pressure
Tell your doctor if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines such as
- anti-histamines used to treat allergies
- monoamine-oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) used to treat depression or Parkinson's disease
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
- Swallow the tablets with a glass of water
- MERISLON 12MG can be taken with or without food
- The usual dose is 24 mg to 48 mg per day
If you take more MERISLON 12MG
- If you take more MERISLON 12MG (an overdose), you may feel sick (nauseous), sleepy or have stomach pain
- Talk to a doctor or go to a hospital immediately
If you forget to take MERISLON 12MG
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop taking MERISLON 12MG
- Don’t stop taking MERISLON 12MG until your doctor tells you to stop so
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
