How to take MEFENTOD SYRUP?
Take MEFENTOD SYRUP as advised by your physician. Shake well before use. Your doctor will determine the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
How MEFENTOD SYRUP works on my body?
MEFENTOD SYRUP works by blocking certain chemicals called prostaglandins in the body thus relieves pain, redness and swelling caused due to inflammatory conditions of the body.
Can MEFENTOD SYRUP taken along with alcohol?
No. You are not advised to consume alcohol while taking MEFENTOD SYRUP because it may increase your risk of stomach bleeding.
Is MEFENTOD SYRUP advised to be taken during pregnancy?
MEFENTOD SYRUP is not recommended for use in pregnant women particularly in the last 3 months of pregnancy as they may delay the onset of labour and prolong its duration. It may also cause bleeding in mother and the baby. Consult your doctor to check whether you can take this medicine during the first 6 months of pregnancy.
Can MEFENTOD SYRUP be taken more than the recommended dose?
No. Do not take a higher dose of MEFENTOD SYRUP without consulting your doctor. Taking a higher dose of MEFENTOD SYRUP may cause affect your stomach and kidneys. You may also get seizures (fits). Symptoms of taking higher dose of MEFENTOD SYRUP include headache, abdominal pain or other abnormal stomach symptoms, nausea, vomiting. Talk to your doctor right away if you accidently took higher dose of medicine.
Does MEFENTOD SYRUP affects my mensural bleeding?
MEFENTOD SYRUP is used to relieve pain that happens before or during a menstrual period. It will not stop periods or bleeding. Consult your doctor regarding its dose and usage during mensural pain.
Is MEFENTOD SYRUP advised to be taken for children?
Your doctor will give the right dose depends on your child’s age, body weight and disease condition. Consult your doctor for advice before taking MEFENTOD SYRUP.
