INTRODUCTION

MCAM 15MG contains Meloxicam which belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) which are used to reduce inflammation and pain in the joints and muscles. It is indicated for the short-term (acute) treatment of flare-ups of osteoarthritis, long-term treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis (Bechterew’s- disease). Meloxicam reversibly inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 and 2 (COX-1 and 2) enzymes, which results in decreased formation of prostaglandin precursors and has antipyretic, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Always take this MCAM 15MG exactly as directed by your doctor. Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have liver, kidney or heart problems, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers. It is not recommended for children and adolescents below 16 years of age. The common side effects are vomiting, stomach pain, nausea, indigestion and diarrhea.
