Your doctor will determine the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
What is MAXERON 5MG INJECTION and why is it given?
MAXERON 5MG INJECTION contains metoclopramide which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-emetics. It is indicated for both adults and children (aged 1 to 18 years) to prevent nausea and vomiting which may occur after surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy. It can also be used to treat nausea and vomiting which is associated with migraine in adults.
How long does it take for MAXERON 5MG INJECTION to act?
When MAXERON 5MG INJECTION is given intravenously, it starts acting within 1 to 3 minutes and if given intramuscularly (into a muscle) it may take up to 10 to 15 minutes. This effect lasts only for 1 to 2 hours. However, this may vary from person to person depending upon the condition. Ask for your doctor’s advice depending upon your specific condition.

MAXERON 5MG INJECTION releases catecholamines which is a nerve chemical thought to increase the risk of high blood pressure.
