MASOOM SYRUP contains Paracetamol which belongs to the group of medicines called Analgesics and Antipyretics. It is used to relieve mild to moderate pain like headache, migraine, nerve pain, toothache, sore throat, period pains, teething, immunisation, earache, and general aches and pains. It can also be used to treat fever (high temperature), and symptoms of cold or flu.
Before taking MASOOM SYRUP, inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, fructose intolerance, Gilberts syndrome, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, hemolytic anaemia, reduced glutathione levels, malnourishment, dehydration or if you weigh less than 50 kg.
MASOOM SYRUP should be used in pregnant women only if considered necessary. Avoid consumption of alcohol during treatment with MASOOM SYRUP, as it might make you more prone to side effects.
MASOOM SYRUP is not recommended for use in children (2-3 months old, weighing less than 4 kg or born before 37 weeks). Contact your doctor if you get any side effects of any of the symptoms get worse.
MASOOM SYRUP relieves pain by increasing the pain threshold by inhibiting certain enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2) involved in synthesis of chemicals responsible for inducing pain (prostaglandins). It reduces fever by directly acting on heat-regulating centers in the brain, resulting in vessel relaxation, sweating, and loss of body heat.
Take MASOOM SYRUP as advised by your physician. Shake well before use. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you based upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Stop taking MASOOM SYRUP and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Eat plenty of fiber rich foods like fresh fruits, vegetables, cereals, and drink plenty of water. Exercise more regularly. If you still feel constipated, contact your doctor.
Take MASOOM SYRUP with, or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily or spicy foods. If you still feel nauseous and vomiting, contact your doctor.
Avoid hot showers because hot water can irritate your skin more. Do not scratch the affected area. Use protective clothing when going outdoors. Regularly moisturize your skin. Consult your doctor if your skin rash gets worse.
MASOOM SYRUP should be used in pregnant women only if considered necessary. Consult your doctor before taking it.
MASOOM SYRUP should be used in breastfeeding women only if considered necessary. Consult your doctor before taking it.
Consult your doctor if you feel any side effect during treatment with MASOOM SYRUP that may stop you from driving or using machines.
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking MASOOM SYRUP. Before taking MASOOM SYRUP, inform your doctor if you have chronic alcoholism.
MASOOM SYRUP should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney problems. Consult your doctor before taking it.
MASOOM SYRUP should be used with caution in patients with severe liver problems, liver problems due to excessive alcohol intake, or have Gilberts syndrome (liver doesn't process bilirubin properly). Consult your doctor before taking it.
Do not take MASOOM SYRUP if you are allergic to Paracetamol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
