LUPILA 10MG TABLET contains Ilaprazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Proton pump inhibitors. LUPILA 10MG TABLET is used in the treatment of dyspepsia (also known as indigestion which occurs due to discomfort or pain in the upper abdomen), peptic and duodenal ulcer (sore on the lining of the stomach or the first part of the small intestine), and gastroesophageal reflux disease (condition in which the stomach acid repeatedly flows back into the tube connecting your mouth and stomach (esophagus).
Before taking LUPILA 10MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have or had the habit of smoking tobacco, have persistent watery diarrhoea, fever or stomach pain, advanced liver disease or chronic kidney disease. LUPILA 10MG TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant and breast-feeding women only if clearly advised by the doctor.
LUPILA 10MG TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged above 65 years). The most common side effects of taking LUPILA 10MG TABLET are nausea, headache, flatulence, and diarrhoea. Consult your doctor if any of your symptoms gets worsen.
Treats:
LUPILA 10MG TABLET works by inhibiting the action of hydrogen-potassium adenosine triphosphatase (an enzyme responsible for acid secretion in the stomach) which leads to the reduced acid formation in the stomach thus providing relief from dyspepsia, gastric and duodenal ulcer, and gastroesophageal reflux disease.
Take LUPILA 10MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Stop taking LUPILA 10MG TABLET and contact your doctor immediately in case of this serious side effect:
Eat smaller and frequent meals. Eat and drink slowly, and exercise regularly. Do not or limit the intake of carbonated drinks. Avoid eating foods which causes bloating such as beans, lentils and others. Consult your doctor if your symptom gets worse.
Drink lot of fluids such as water to keep yourself hydrated. Avoid eating high fat or spicy foods. Do not take any medicine on your own to treat diarrhoea without consulting your doctor. Consult your doctor if the symptom gets worse.
Drink ample amount of water and avoid skipping meals. Get adequate rest. Try to be relaxed and stress free. Apply pain relieving balm on your forehead if necessary. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily, fried or spicy foods. Do not lie down or sleep immediately after eating. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
LUPILA 10MG TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant women only if considered clearly necessary. Consult your doctor before taking LUPILA 10MG TABLET.
LUPILA 10MG TABLET should be used with caution in breastfeeding women only if considered clearly necessary. Consult your doctor before taking taking LUPILA 10MG TABLET.
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking LUPILA 10MG TABLET as it may increase the acid production in the stomach and may worsen your existing condition.
LUPILA 10MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems such as chronic kidney disorders. Consult your doctor before taking LUPILA 10MG TABLET.

Do not take LUPILA 10MG TABLET if you are allergic to ilaprazole, benzimidazole (such as albendazole), other proton pump inhibitors (such as omeprazole, pantoprazole) or any other ingredients of this medicine.
