LOMOTIL Tablet tablet is used for the treatment of diarrhoea.

How does LOMOTIL Tablet work?

In LOMOTIL Tablet, Atropine Sulfate belongs to the class of drugs called anti-cholinergic agents. The drug acts by antagonising the action of certain receptors, thereby reducing gastric motility and diarrhoea.

Diphenoxylate belongs to the class of drugs called opioid analgesics. The drug acts by antagonising the action of certain receptors in the gastrointestinal tract and reduces the bowel movement.

How to take LOMOTIL Tablet?

The dosage and the drug form depend on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Take LOMOTIL Tablet tablet as prescribed by your doctor.

  • Swallow the tablet Do not crush or chew the tablet. Take the drug with or without food. However, taking the drug with food prevents stomach upset.
