What is LISCAB CREAM and why is it prescribed?
LISCAB CREAM contains Permethrin which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-parasitic agents. It is indicated in the treatment of scabies and crab louse infections (head lice).
For how long should I use LISCAB CREAM?
Use LISCAB CREAM for the time it has been prescribed by your doctor. Generally, a single application of LISCAB CREAM is sufficient for the treatment. However, it may require a re-application in cases of persistent or reoccurrence of infestation. Ask for your doctor’s advice.
How to use LISCAB CREAM?
Always apply LISCAB CREAM as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. The medicine should be applied on all the affected areas. Use this medicine for time it has been prescribed by your doctor even if your symptoms start getting better. Wash hands before and after the application LISCAB CREAM.
Can LISCAB CREAM be used in children?
LISCAB CREAM is not recommended for use in infants below 2 months of age and should be used with caution in children and adolescents below 18 years of age. Consult with your doctor before using.
What other precautions should I follow while using LISCAB CREAM?
LISCAB CREAM should be applied on all the affected areas. If you have taken a warm bath prior to applying LISCAB CREAM, the skin should be allowed to cool before the medicine is applied.
Is LISCAB CREAM safe for use in pregnant and breast-feeding women?
LISCAB CREAM is not recommended for pregnant and breast-feeding women. Consult your doctor before using the medicine.
Can LISCAB CREAM cause prolonged side effects?
LISCAB CREAM may cause itching, redness, burning sensation, tingling, prickling or dry skin. Ask for your doctor’s advice if any of these worsen or persists for a longer duration.
