LECEREIN GM TABLET is a combination of Diacerein, Glucosamine, and Methyl Sulfonyl Methane which belongs to the group of medicines called proteoglycan synthesis stimulators and nutritional supplements respectively. It is used in the treatment of osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is a condition that causes pain, swelling, and stiffness in the joints of the hands, knees, hips, and spine.
In osteoarthritis, the cartilage between the bones in the joint breaks down, which in turn causes the affected bones to slowly get bigger. The joint cartilage often breaks down because of mechanical stress or biochemical changes within the body, causing the bone underneath to fail.
LECEREIN GM TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with liver problems. Before taking LECEREIN GM TABLET, inform your doctor if you have suffered from impaired glucose tolerance, kidney problems, heart disease, or asthma. LECEREIN GM TABLET is generally not recommended for use among women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
LECEREIN GM TABLET is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (18 years and below). LECEREIN GM TABLET is to be taken with caution by elderly patients. The most common side effects of taking LECEREIN GM TABLET are nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, indigestion, heartburn, and urine discoloration. Ask your doctor for advice if any of these side effects worsen or don’t improve.

Take LECEREIN GM TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with enough water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dose and duration of LECEREIN GM TABLET for you depending on your age, body weight and disease condition.
Stop taking LECEREIN GM TABLET and contact your physician immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Eat more fiber-rich foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables and cereals and drink more water. Exercise more regularly.
Drink more fluids like water, squash or fruit juice to keep yourself hydrated. Do not consume any medicine for diarrhoea by yourself without consulting your doctor. If the symptom doesn’t improve consult with your doctor.
Take this medicine with or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating rich or spicy food. If the symptom doesn’t improve consult with your doctor.
LECEREIN GM TABLET is not recommended for use by pregnant women unless considered necessary. Consult your physician before taking it.
LECEREIN GM TABLET is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as small traces may pass through the mother’s milk. Consult your physician before taking it.
Dizziness has been reported during treatment with LECEREIN GM TABLET and may affect the ability to drive and use machines. Consult your physician before taking LECEREIN GM TABLET.
LECEREIN GM TABLET should be used with caution if drinking any alcoholic beverage.
