INTRODUCTION

LATINA RT contains Latanoprost which belongs to a group of medicines called prostaglandin analogues. It works by increasing the outflow of fluid from the eye which lowers the pressure in the eye. It is used to treat open angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It lowers the pressure within eye by increasing the natural flow of fluid from inside the eye into the blood stream. Ocular hypertension is a condition where high amounts of pressure build up in the eye due to too much of fluid enters the eye without being drained. This pressure can damage the optic nerve resulting in glaucoma.

Use this medicine according to the dose and frequency as advised by your doctor. The common side effects are changes in eye lashes, pain and redness of eye. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or trying to pregnant and breastfeeding. Consult your doctor for advice. Avoid driving or handling of machines while using this medicine, since it may cause blurred vision.
