What IMICRIT 1000/1000MG is used for?

  • It is indicated for the treatment of serious lower respiratory, urinary tract, intra-abdominal, gynecologic, bone, joint, endocarditis, bacterial septicemia, skin and skin structure infections

 Talk to your Doctor if you:

  • are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • have a history of seizures
  • have CNS disorders
  • have meningitis
  • have renal or hepatic impairment
  • This medicine should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the mother and baby
  • If you are pregnant, or breastfeeding think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  • This medicine is not recommended for neonates less than 3 months
  • Your doctor will give the right dose depends on your child’s age and disease

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • ganciclovir (used to treat viral infection)
  • valproic acid or sodium valproate (used to treat epilepsy)
  • probenecid (used to treat gout)
  • This medicine will be administered by your doctor or nurse
  • It is given by intravenous route

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
