Hexidine 0.2% Mouth Wash 500ml

INTRODUCTION

Hexidine Mouth Wash is an antiseptic and anti-plaque liquid that is used for the prevention and treatment of gingivitis (inflammation of gingiva). It helps to prevent accumulation of plaque in the absence of brushing.

It also treats mouth and throat infections, oral candidiasis (fungal infection of mouth), and mouth ulcers. It contains chlorhexidine gluconate as active ingredient that helps to maintain oral hygiene.

Chlorhexidine gluconate is an antimicrobial agent that causes disruption of the bacterial cell membrane and kills the bacteria inside the mouth, thereby helps to prevent infections arising out of poor oral hygiene.

Use Hexidine Mouth Wash exactly as advised by your doctor. It is for oral use only. Swish and spit, do not swallow it. Do not exceed the daily recommended dosage. Do not rinse your mouth, eat or drink thereafter for 20 minutes. Avoid consuming tannin-containing food and drinks for at least one hour after using this liquid.

SIDE EFFECTS OF HEXIDINE 0.2% MOUTH WASH

Some people may experience brown staining of teeth, burning sensation of mouth and taste changes while using this product. Consult doctor if you experience any unusual symptoms while using this mouthwash.

SAFETY ADVICE

• Use Hexidine Mouth Wash Liquid exactly as advised by your physician/dentist
• It is for oral use only
• Swish and spit, do not swallow it
• Rinse your mouth thoroughly with water
• Take required amount of mouth wash and swish in your mouth for 1 minute
• Do not rinse your mouth, drink, or eat something for at least 20 minutes after using Hexidine Mouth Wash Liquid
• For prolonged use dilute Hexidine Mouth Wash Liquid with equal amount of water (1:1 ratio)
• Avoid consuming tannin-containing food and drinks for at least one hour after using this mouth wash
• Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of its ingredients
• It can be used in pregnant and breast-feeding women however, you must consult your doctor before using it
• It is not recommended for use in children below 6 years of age
• Inform your doctor on all the medicines you use including prescription, non-prescription and herbal supplements
