HERTILITY 10 TABLET contains Dydrogesterone which belongs to the group of medicines called Hormonal Replacement Therapy. It is used to treat progesterone deficiency states. It helps to treat problems that occurs due to deficiency of a female sex hormone called progesterone in the body. It can relieve menstrual pain and can treat symptoms of endometriosis (a problem caused by growth of the womb lining outside the womb) and premenstrual syndrome (mood changes, breast pain or tiredness caused before periods) in women having progesterone deficiency.
It can also be used to treat infertility problems and to regularize periods in women suffering from irregular or lack of periods. It also helps in stopping unusually heavy or long periods in menopausal women. HERTILITY 10 TABLET can be used in postmenopausal women to treat signs of menopause (such as hot flushes, sleep problems, irritability, or depression) when used in combination with estrogens.
Dydrogesterone is a synthetic derivative of a female sex hormones called progesterone. It supplements our body with sufficient levels of progesterone. As a result, it relieves the unpleasant symptoms associated with progesterone deficiencies such as menstrual pain, premenstrual syndrome, infertility, irregular periods or signs of menopause.
During treatment with HERTILITY 10 TABLET, your doctor will instruct you to have periodic blood tests and regular physical examination (breast examination and cervical smear tests) to avoid the risk of unwanted side effects.
Do not take HERTILITY 10 TABLET if you have any tumors in your body that is worsened by progesterone (meningioma). Before taking HERTILITY 10 TABLET inform your doctor if you have any liver problems, depression, or porphyria (a blood disorder). Consult your doctor before taking HERTILITY 10 TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. HERTILITY 10 TABLET should be used with caution in adolescent girls who attained puberty (aged between 12-18 years).
The most common side effects of taking HERTILITY 10 TABLET are severe headache, nausea, breast pain or tenderness and painful, heavy, or irregular periods. Consult your doctor if any of these side effect worsens.
Also, inform your doctor if you experience any changes in your breast such as breast pain, tenderness, discharge from the nipple, or lump growth in the breasts, heavy menstrual bleeding, pain, swelling, redness of the legs, sudden chest pain or difficulty in breathing after taking HERTILITY 10 TABLET.
HERTILITY 10 TABLET supplements our body with sufficient levels of a female sex hormone called progesterone. This helps in treating problems associated with progesterone deficiency states. It improves the thickness of uterine lining which helps in correcting infertility problems and irregular periods. It also provides relief from postmenopausal symptoms (such as hot flushes, sleep problems, irritability, and depression) by replacing the deficient progesterone levels in the body.
Take HERTILITY 10 TABLET strictly as advised by your physician. Swallow HERTILITY 10 TABLET with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Try to take HERTILITY 10 TABLET at the same time each day. It can be taken with or without food.
Do not miss any dose of HERTILITY 10 TABLET in between the therapy, as it may reduce its effectiveness. In case if you have missed a dose of HERTILITY 10 TABLET take it as soon as you remember. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of HERTILITY 10 TABLET for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Stop taking HERTILITY 10 TABLET and contact your doctor if you experience any of the following side effects:
Try to rest and relax. Get enough sleep. Avoid driving or operating any tools or machines completely while you are feeling dizzy. Do not consume excessive alcohol, as it could aggravate your dizziness. Consult your doctor if your dizziness worsens.
Take HERTILITY 10 TABLET with or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oil rich or spicy foods. Consult your doctor if your nausea worsens.
Rest and relax. Keep yourself hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids such as water or electrolytes. Applying a pain-relieving balm on your forehead can be beneficial. Do not consume excessive alcohol, as it could aggravate your headache. Consult your doctor if your headache worsens.
HERTILITY 10 TABLET should be used in pregnant women only if it is considered necessary by the physician. Therefore, inform your doctor before taking HERTILITY 10 TABLET if you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or planning to have a baby.
HERTILITY 10 TABLET is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. However, consult your doctor before taking it.
Do not drive or handle heavy machines if you experience dizziness after taking HERTILITY 10 TABLET.
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking HERTILITY 10 TABLET, as it may increase the risk of side effects.
HERTILITY 10 TABLET should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.

Q. Can HERTILITY 10 TABLET cause cancer?
A. Yes. Current studies have shown that prolonged use of HERTILITY 10 TABLET may lead to breast cancer or uterine cancer. To avoid this, your doctor will constantly monitor your health condition through periodic blood tests and ultrasounds (breast examination and cervical smear tests). However, inform your doctor immediately if you experience any unusual symptoms such as severe breast pain or tenderness, purplish discoloration of breasts, discharge from nipples, pelvic pain or abnormal vaginal bleeding.
Q. How long do we bleed while taking HERTILITY 10 TABLET?
A. Nearly 75-90% of women experience bleeding up to 5 days while undergoing therapy with HERTILITY 10 TABLET. Bleeding usually starts at the last day of the monthly course or may happen in between the cycle as well. However, consult your doctor if you’re bleeding or spotting appears after some time on therapy, or continue to happen even after stop taking HERTILITY 10 TABLET.
Q. What happens if I forget to take HERTILITY 10 TABLET?
A. If you forget to take a dose of HERTILITY 10 TABLET and if it is less than 12 years since you forgot, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is more than 12 hours or time for next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose of HERTILITY 10 TABLET at regular time. Do not take a double dose of HERTILITY 10 TABLET to compensate the missed dose.
