HERCLON 150MG INJECTION contains Trastuzumab which belongs to the group of medicines called Anticancer drugs. It is used to treat breast cancer and stomach cancer. It can be used either alone or in combination with other anticancer drugs (such as paclitaxel, cisplatin, docetaxel, 5-fluorouracil, capecitabine) or hormonal drugs (such as tamoxifen, anastrozole) to achieve better results.
HERCLON 150MG INJECTION will be administered to you only by an oncologist or by a trained professional into your vein or beneath the skin. It is suitable for use in patients with high levels of human epidermal growth factor 2 (HER2) or hormone receptor positive metastatic breast cancer (cancer this is more sensitive for hormonal changes).
Before receiving HERCLON 150MG INJECTION inform your doctor if you have any heart problems (such as heart attack, heart valve disease, or abnormal heartbeat). You must also inform your doctor if you have hypertension as a precaution.
HERCLON 150MG INJECTION is not recommended for use in patients with breathing difficulties. It is also not suitable for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Both men and women receiving HERCLON 150MG INJECTION must use a suitable contraceptive method to avoid pregnancy while undergoing therapy with HERCLON 150MG INJECTION.
The most common side effects of receiving this medicine are increased infections, sore throat, mouth ulcers, skin rashes, nausea, stomach upset, lack of sleep, weight loss, tingling and numbness of hands and feet, muscle pain, joint pain, hair loss, shakiness and increased sweating. Consult your doctor if any of these side effect worsens.

HERCLON 150MG INJECTION is a monoclonal antibody. It works by blocking the actions of certain cellular proteins (HER2) that triggers cancer cell formation. It also blocks various downstream cell signalling pathways that triggers cancer growth within the body. As a result, it reduces cancer formation and prevents its further growth within the body.
HERCLON 150MG INJECTION will be given to you only by a doctor or a nurse into the vein (intravenously) or beneath the skin (subcutaneously).
Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Try to eat more high-fibre foods such as fresh fruit, vegetables, cereals, and drink plenty of water. Try doing exercise regularly (going for a daily walk or run). If this does not help, inform your doctor for receiving alternate treatments for constipation.
Drink lots of fluids, such as water to keep yourself hydrated. Try to avoid taking any medicine on your own to treat diarrhoea and consult your doctor if the symptom gets worse.
Try to rest and relax. Get enough sleep. Avoid driving or operating any tools or machines completely while you are feeling dizzy. Consult your doctor if your dizziness worsens.
Rest and relax. Keep yourself hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids such as water or electrolytes. Applying a pain-relieving balm on your forehead can be beneficial. Consult your doctor if your headache worsens.
Avoid eating spicy foods. Drink plenty of water. Apply a pain-relieving gel on the affected areas of the mouth if required. Consult your doctor if the symptom did not improve.
Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oil rich or spicy foods. If your nausea worsens, consult your doctor for advice
Avoid hot showers because hot water can irritate your skin further. Do not scratch the affected area. Use protective clothing when going outdoors. Regularly moisturize your skin. Consult your doctor if your skin rash worsens.
HERCLON 150MG INJECTION is not recommended for use in pregnant women. Therefore, consult your doctor before receiving it. Women of childbearing potential must use a suitable contraceptive to avoid pregnancy while undergoing therapy with HERCLON 150MG INJECTION and until 7 months after stopping the therapy. If you accidentally became pregnant while receiving HERCLON 150MG INJECTION, inform your doctor immediately.
HERCLON 150MG INJECTION may pass through breast milk. Therefore, it is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. However, consult your doctor before receiving it.
Do not drive or operate any machines if your ability is affected by HERCLON 150MG INJECTION.
Avoid consumption of alcohol while receiving HERCLON 150MG INJECTION as it may make you feel drowsier.
Talk to your doctor before receiving HERCLON 150MG INJECTION if you are allergic to Trastuzumab.
HERCLON 150MG INJECTION is not recommended for use in patients with breathing difficulties and in patients with a need of oxygen therapy. Therefore, consult your doctor before receiving it.
