What GRAMONEG is used for?

  • It is indicated for the treatment of urinary tract infections

Talk to your Doctor, if you:

  • are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • have history of convulsive disorders
  • have porphyria
  • have liver disease
  • have renal failure
  • have severe cerebral arteriosclerosis
  • have glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • anticoagulants (used to treat blood clots)
  • tetracycline, chloramphenicol (used to treat bacterial infections)
  • nitrofurantoin (used to treat urinary tract infections)
  • probenecid (used to treat gout)
  • melphalan (anti-cancer drug)
  • antacids
  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you

If you take more GRAMONEG

  • If you take too much than your prescribed dose, call your doctor or go to the nearest hospital emergency room right away
  • Symptoms of overdosage are toxic psychosis and convulsions

If you forget to take GRAMONEG

  • Take your next dose at the usual time and then keep taking your medicine as your doctor has told you. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose

If you stop taking GRAMONEG

  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless the doctor tells to do

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Very Rare
  • drowsiness, weakness, headache, dizziness and vertigo
  • over brightness of lights change in color perception, difficulty in focusing, decrease in visual acuity and double vision
  • convulsions
  • increased intercranial pressure with bulging anterior fontanelle, papilledema
  • abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea
  • rash, pruritus, urticaria, angio-edema, eosinophilia, arthralgia with joint stiffness and swelling
  • erythema and bullae on exposed skin surfaces
  • anaphylactoid reaction
  • cholestasis, paresthesia, metabolic acidosis, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia or hemolytic anemia
