  • GONAPEPTYL contains Triptorelin which belongs to a group of medicines called gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists
  • It occurs naturally in your body which in men, it lowers the levels of the hormone testosterone and in women, it reduces oestrogen level







What GONAPEPTYL is used for?

It is used in men, women and children to treat completely different conditions

In men:

  • It is used to treat prostate cancer

In women:

  • It is used to treat Endometriosis a painful condition in which endometrial tissue grows outside the uterus, often in the pelvic area

In children:

  • It is used to treat Puberty that occurs at a very young age (Precocious Puberty)which is called ‘early puberty’

  • are allergic to triptorelin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • are a heavy drinker, a smoker
  • have a family history of osteoporosis (a condition that affects the strength of your bones

  • have an enlargement (benign tumor) of the pituitary gland
  • have back pain, weakness, numbness or tingling in your legs
  • have vaginal bleeding (for women)
