GOLDCAL SHOT ORAL SOLUTION contains Cholecalciferol which belongs to the group of medicines called Vitamin D analogs. It is used to treat and prevent Vitamin D deficiency. This may occur when your diet or lifestyle does not provide you enough vitamin D or when your body requires more vitamin D during pregnancy.
Along with this treatment, your doctor might advise you to eat and drink foods that are rich in calcium. Your doctor might want to take certain blood tests prior to the treatment to understand the existing condition.
GOLDCAL SHOT ORAL SOLUTION is not recommended for use if you have high blood or urine levels of calcium, kidney stones or serious kidney problems and high levels of Vitamin D.
Before taking GOLDCAL SHOT ORAL SOLUTION, inform your doctor if you have heart or kidney disease, sarcoidosis (a multisystem chronic inflammatory condition which can affect your lungs, heart, and kidneys) or if you are taking medicines containing vitamin D, increase parathyroid hormone in your blood or rickets (problems in bone).
GOLDCAL SHOT ORAL SOLUTION should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. GOLDCAL SHOT ORAL SOLUTION is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (below 12 years of age). It should be used with caution in elderly patients.
The most common side effects of taking GOLDCAL SHOT ORAL SOLUTION are increased calcium level in the blood or urine. Consult your doctor if you experience any unusual effects.
GOLDCAL SHOT ORAL SOLUTION helps the body to absorb calcium and phosphorus by increasing their absorption from the gut and reducing the amount removed by the kidneys and it is a fat-soluble vitamin.
Take GOLDCAL SHOT ORAL SOLUTION as advised by your physician. Shake well before use. You may also mix the dose with a small amount of cold or lukewarm food immediately before use.
