  • drink a lot of alcohol
  • have Inflammatory bowel disease, colonic ulcerations or partial intestinal obstructions
  • have Gastro-Intestinal disorders

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • other antidiabetic drug or insulin
  • salicylic acid preparations
  • fibrate derivatives
  • antibiotics (e.g. sulphonamides or clarithromycin)
  • captopril or enalapril, used to treat high blood pressure or heart failure
  • miconazole, fluconazole, used to treat fungal infections
  • H2 receptor antagonists, used to treat ulcers in the stomach or duodenum
  • monoamine oxidase inhibitors, used to treat depression
  • medicines reducing inflammation (corticosteroids)
  • intravenous salbutamol and terbutaline, used to treat asthma
  • danazol, used to treat breast disorders, heavy menstrual bleeding and endometriosis
  • warfarin which reduce blood clotting

If you take more GLZ TRIO

  • If you take too much GLZ TRIO call your doctor or go to the nearest hospital right away

If you forget to take GLZ TRIO

  • If you miss a dose of GLZ TRIO resume dosing according to schedule. Do not take double dose for forgotten dose

If you stop taking GLZ TRIO

  • Do not stop taking this tablet before consulting your doctor

Gliclazide:

  • abnormal liver function, which can cause yellow skin and eyes
  • skin reactions such as rash, redness, itching, hives
  • angioedema (rapid swelling of tissues such as eyelids, face, lips, mouth, tongue or throat that may result in breathing difficulty)

Metformin:

  • lactic acidosis where there is a buildup of an acid in the blood that can cause death

  • stomach pain or discomfort, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, diarrhoea and constipation

Metformin:

  • gastrointestinal disorders such as diarrhea, loose stools, abdominal pain, constipation, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, and loss of appetite

Voglibose:

  • soft stools or diarrhoea, flatulence, bloating, abdominal pain or discomfort, abdominal fullness
  • rise in liver enzymes
  • nausea, vomiting, dizziness.
