GLUCAGEN HYPOKIT 1MG contains Glucagon which belongs to the group of medicines called Hyperglycemic agents. It is used for immediate, emergency use for children and adults with diabetes who use insulin. It is used when the patient becomes unconscious due to very low blood sugar (severe hypoglycaemia) and cannot take sugar by mouth.
Avoid consumption of alcohol while receiving GLUCAGEN HYPOKIT 1MG as it may lower your blood sugar levels. GLUCAGEN HYPOKIT 1MG is not recommended for use in patients with tumour in the adrenal gland. GLUCAGEN HYPOKIT 1MG should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Contact your doctor before receiving it.
GLUCAGEN HYPOKIT 1MG should be used with caution in children and elderly patients (aged 65 years and above). The most common side effects of receiving GLUCAGEN HYPOKIT 1MG is nausea. Inform your physician if the side effect worsens or if you experience any unusual effects.
GLUCAGEN HYPOKIT 1MG works by activating hepatic glucagon receptors and increases blood glucose concentration by converting the glycogen into glucose (sugar) in liver, which then released into the blood stream and increases the blood sugar levels.
GLUCAGEN HYPOKIT 1MG will be given to you only by a doctor or nurse under the skin (subcutaneously) or into a muscle (intramuscularly). Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Nausea or vomiting:
Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily, fried or spicy foods. Do not lie down or sleep immediately after eating. Inform your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
Abdominal pain:
Try to take rest and relax. Eat and drink slowly or try to have smaller and frequent meals. Keep a heat pad on your stomach. If the symptom does not improve, inform your doctor.
GLUCAGEN HYPOKIT 1MG should be used with caution in pregnancy. Consult your doctor before receiving it.

Wait until the effects of very low blood sugar have worn off, before driving or using any tools or machines.
