Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
- are allergic to Fluconazole or to any of the other contents of this medicine
- have had thrush more than twice in the last 6 months
- or your partner have been exposed to a sexually transmitted disease
- have liver disease, or have had unexplained jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes)
- have heart or kidney problems
- have low levels of potassium, magnesium or calcium in your blood
- have any other long-term illness
- have pain on passing urine, abnormal discharge or leakage from penis (men)
- have lower stomach pain, or pain or a burning sensation on passing urine, any abnormal or irregular bleeding or blood-stained discharge (women)
Tell your doctor if you are taking:
- erythromycin for bacterial infections
- astemizole for allergies
- cisapride for heartburn
- medicines to thin your blood (e.g. warfarin)
- rifabutin or rifampicin (for tuberculosis) or other anti-fungal medicines (including ketoconazole)
- medicines to reduce cholesterol (e.g. statins)
- medicines for high blood pressure, water tablets (diuretics) or for heart problems
- amiodarone (used for rhythm disorders)
- medicines for mental health conditions (e.g. triazolam, midazolam or tricyclic antidepressants) or for epilepsy (e.g. carbamazepine or phenytoin)
- methadone (for pain relief or treatment of opioid dependence)
- fentanyl, alfentanil, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (for pain relief or inflammation)
- medicines for diabetes such as glyburide, tolbutamide, glipizide
- ergotamine or methysergide (for migraine) or other ergot derivatives
- zidovudine or saquinavir (for HIV infection)
- ciclosporin, sirolimus, or tacrolimus (given after transplant surgery or for psoriasis or rheumatisim)
- ivacaftor (used for treating cystic fibrosis)
- vitamin A as nutritional supplement
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
- Swallow this medicine whole with water with or without food
- Take FUNGIKEM O 150MG once daily
If you take more FUNGIKEM O 150MG
- If you take more FUNGIKEM O 150MG than you should, contact your doctor immediately
If you forget to take FUNGIKEM O 150MG
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. If you miss one dose, take your next dose on the day after the missed dose
If you stop taken FUNGIKEM O 150MG
- You should not stop this medicine unless told to do so by your doctor
Like all medicines, FUNGIKEM O 150MG may cause some side effects, although not everybody gets them.

- difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, neck, tongue or throat, low blood pressure, fainting (severe allergic reactions)
- severe skin rash which may include peeling, blistering and lesions of the skin
- liver problems such as yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark coloured urine, pale stools
- changes in the heart rhythm
- severe tiredness or exhaustion, unusual bruising or an increase in the number of infections that you get (e.g. sore throats, mouth ulcers, flu-like symptoms including fever)
- fits or convulsions
- headache
- diarrhea, nausea or upset stomach
- dizziness
- stomach pain
- changes in the way food tastes
- difficulty sleeping or difficulty getting to sleep
- headache, feeling dizzy or unsteady on your feet, pins and needles, pain in the muscles, weakness or loss of strength, general feeling of tiredness or being unwell, shaking
- red, raised itchy skin rash, or a rash with eruptions of pus
- increased sweating, rarely hair loss
- low levels of potassium, rarely increased cholesterol or blood fat levels
