EPIMAC PLUS TABLET is a combination of Eperisone and Paracetamol which belongs to the group of medicines called Muscle relaxants and Analgesics respectively. It is used to treat pain due to muscle spasm.
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking this medicine as it may severely damage the liver. EPIMAC PLUS TABLET should be used with caution in patients with asthma, liver disease or disorder and kidney disease.
EPIMAC PLUS TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant women unless advised by the doctor and it is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. EPIMAC PLUS TABLET is not recommended for use in children due to lack of safety data and it should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above).
The most common side effects of taking EPIMAC PLUS TABLET are nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, abdominal pain, general discomfort and constipation. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen over the time.
EPIMAC PLUS TABLET helps to treat pain due to muscle spasm, where eperisone works by acting on the centres in the brain and spinal cord. It also dilates vascular smooth muscles improving blood flow and relieves muscle spasm. Paracetamol works by increasing the pain threshold by inhibiting COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes.
Take EPIMAC PLUS TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow EPIMAC PLUS TABLET with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. Do not stop taking EPIMAC PLUS TABLET without informing your doctor.
Stop taking EPIMAC PLUS TABLET and contact your physician immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Try to eat more high-fiber foods such as fresh fruit, vegetables, cereals and drink plenty of water. Exercise regularly (such as daily walk). If this does not help, consult your doctor for receiving alternate treatment for constipation.
Drink lot of fluids such as water or fruit juices to keep yourself hydrated. Do not take any medicine on your own for treating diarrhoea. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
Rest and relax. Drink plenty of fluids such as water or electrolytes and apply a pain-relieving balm on the forehead if necessary. Do not consume alcohol. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
Take this medicine with or immediately after food. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily, fried and spicy foods. Do not perform any strenuous activities immediately after eating. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
Try to rest and relax. Eat and drink slowly or try to have smaller and frequent meals. Keep a heating pad on your stomach. If the symptom does not improve, consult your doctor.
EPIMAC PLUS TABLET should be used with caution during pregnancy unless considered clearly necessary. Consult your doctor before taking EPIMAC PLUS TABLET.
EPIMAC PLUS TABLET is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it may pass through the breast milk. Consult your doctor before taking EPIMAC PLUS TABLET.
Do not drive or operate any machines if you feel weakness, sleepiness, light-headedness after taking EPIMAC PLUS TABLET.
