What EMGRAST M 250MG is used for?

It is indicated for the treatment of:

  • acute myeloid leukemia following induction chemotherapy
  • autologous peripheral blood progenitor cell mobilization and collection
  • autologous peripheral blood progenitor cell and bone marrow transplantation
  • allogeneic bone marrow transplantation
  • allogeneic or autologous bone marrow transplantation: treatment of delayed neutrophil recovery or graft failure
  • acute exposure to myelosuppressive doses of radiation (H-ARS)

Talk to your Doctor, if you:

  • are allergic or hypersensitive to Sargramostim or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • have a pre-existing lung disease
  • have a risk of severe myelosuppression
  • have effusions and capillary leak syndrome
  • have leukocytosis (high white blood cell count)
  • have potential effect on malignant cells myeloid malignancies
  • have anaphylaxis
  • have lung cancer
  • have a preexisting fluid retention, pulmonary infiltrates or congestive heart failure
  • have immunogenicity
  • have history of cardiac arrhythmias
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  • Advise lactating woman not to breastfeed during treatment and for at least 2 weeks after the last dose
  • Your doctor will give you the right dose based on your child’s age and body weight

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • lithium and corticosteroids (used to treat depression)
  • EMGRAST M 250MG will be given as subcutaneous or intravenous by a doctor or nurse
