What EMDUO JUNIOR 40/10MG is used for?

  • It is used to treat Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection in adults

Talk to your doctor if you:

  • are allergic to any ingredients of this medicine
  • have liver or kidney disease
  • have peripheral neuropathy
  • have pancreatitis
  • has diabetes
  • have lactic acidosis
  • have autoimmune disorders
  • This medicine should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefits outweigh the potential risk
  • It is not recommended for breastfeeding mothers
  • If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • stavudine and didanosine (used to treat HIV)
  • rifampicin
  • ketoconazole, itraconazole, fluconazole (antifungals)
  • oral contraceptives 
  • clarithromycin, rifabutin (antibiotics)
  • amodiaquine/artesunate, quinine, lumefantrine, halofantrine, atovaquone (antimalarials) 
  • phenytoin, valproic acid (anticonvulsants)
  • warfarin (used to treat blot clots)
  • doxorubicin (anti-cancer medicine)
  • Always take this medicine exactly as described by your doctor
  • Swallow the medicine with a glass of water
  • Do not crush or chew the medicine

If you take more EMDUO JUNIOR 40/10MG

  •  If you take more of this medicine, talk to your doctor or go to your nearest hospital immediately

If you forget to take EMDUO JUNIOR 40/10MG

  • If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember it, however if it is nearly time for the next dose skip the missed dose
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose

If you stop taking EMDUO JUNIOR 40/10MG

  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells to do so

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
