INTRODUCTION

EBOV 90MG contains Etoricoxib which belongs to the group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs. EBOV 90MG is used in people above 16 years of age in the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and gout to reduce pain and swelling (inflammation) in the joints and muscles. It is also used as a short-term treatment after dental surgery to relieve moderate pain.

Osteoarthritis is a disease of joints that occurs due to gradual breakdown of cartilage that cushions the ends of the bones. It is generally characterized by symptoms such as swelling, pain and tenderness. Rheumatoid arthritis is an inflammatory disease of the joints.

Gout is a common and complex form of arthritis that occurs as severe pain, redness and tenderness in joints. Ankylosing spondylitis is an inflammatory disease of the spine and large joints, generally, characterized by symptoms such as pain and stiffness in the lower back and hips.

Etoricoxib works by inhibiting the naturally occurring chemical (Cox-2) in the body which prevents the production of a chemical (prostaglandins) thereby helping in reducing swelling and providing relief from pain.

EBOV 90MG is not recommended for use in patients having stomach ulcer or intestinal bleeding, inflammatory bowel disease such as Crohn’s disease, high blood pressure, stoke, heart failure, angina (chest pain), heart attack, bypass surgery, serious liver and kidney diseases.

Before taking EBOV 90MG, inform your doctor if you are a smoker, and or have diabetes, high cholesterol, swelling due to fluid retention, or been treated for an infection. EBOV 90MG is not recommended for use during pregnancy and in breastfeeding women. It is also not recommended for use in children and adolescents (below 16 years of age). Consult your doctor before taking the medicine. The most common side effects of taking EBOV 90MG are swelling of legs and feet due to fluid retention (oedema), dizziness, headache, irregular heartbeat, increased blood pressure, constipation, and nausea. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.
