What DYSLIP EZ is used for?
- It is used to lower levels of total cholesterol, LDL (bad) cholesterol and fatty substances called triglycerides in the blood
- In addition, DYSLIP EZ raises levels of HDL (good) cholesterol
- It is used for patients who cannot control their cholesterol levels by diet and exercise alone
Talk to your doctor before taking DYSLIP EZ If you:
- are allergic to Ezetimibe or Atorvastatin or any of the ingredients in DYSLIP EZ
- have liver or kidney problem
- have thyroid problem
- have diabetes mellitus
- have unexplained muscle aches or weakness
Tell your doctor if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any of the following medicines
- Allopurinol used for gout
- Coumarin, warfarin used as blood-thinners
- Sorivudine and brivudine used for viral infections
- Medicines for seizures or tremors (phenytoin)
- A medicine to treat cancer (interferon alpha)
- Radiotherapy and certain medicines used to treat cancer (folinic acid, oxaliplatin, bevacizumab, cisplatin, irinotecan)
- Medicines used to treat folic acid deficiency
- Take DYSLIP EZ exactly as your doctor tells you to take it
- Do not open your DYSLIP EZ pouch until you are ready to take DYSLIP EZ
- Take DYSLIP EZ 1 time each day, with or without food
- You should stay on a cholesterol-lowering diet while taking this medicine
- Tablets should be swallowed whole
- Do not crush, dissolve, or chew tablets
If you take more DYSLIP EZ
- If you take too much DYSLIP EZ, call your doctor go to the nearest hospital emergency room right away
If you forget to take DYSLIP EZ
- If you miss a dose, do not take an extra dose
- Just resume your usual schedule
If you stop using DYSLIP EZ
- Keep taking DYSLIP EZ unless your doctor tells you to stop
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them

- unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness
- feels tired or weak
- loss of appetite
- dark urine
- yellowing of your skin or the whites of your eyes
- allergic reactions including swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and/or throat that may cause difficulty in breathing or swallowing
- nausea and vomiting
- passing brown or dark colored urine
- you feel more tired than usual
- stomach pain
- muscle and body pain
- changes in your liver function tests
- diarrhea
- tendon problems
- memory loss
- confusion
- depression
