DOLOTUSS 20MG contains Levocloperastine which belongs to a group of medicines called antitussives agents. It is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of cough associated with acute and chronic respiratory disorders. Always take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your physician.
Levocloperastine is a cough suppressant, acts at the CNS level by inhibiting the bulbar cough centre. In addition to this primary mechanism of action, peripheral effects related to its antihistamine, antiserotonergic and smooth muscle-relaxant properties also contribute to the overall efficacy of levocloperastine in the treatment of cough, bronchospasm and related symptoms.
Before taking DOLOTUSS 20MG tell your doctor about your complete medical history including heart-problems, epilepsy, high blood pressure, liver impairment, and kidney malfunction. Pregnant and breastfeeding women consult the doctor before taking this medicine. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment. The common side effects are nausea, headache, dizziness or sleepiness.
DOLOTUSS 20MG is a cough suppressant that acts on the central nervous system and suppresses cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain.

Nausea:
Eat routine meals and do not eat spicy foods.
Dizziness:
Sit or lie down immediately when you feel dizziness. Lie still with eyes closed in a dark room.
Headache:
Rest and drink plenty of fluids. Apply a wet or cold cloth to forehead and rest in a quiet, comfortable, dark room.
DOLOTUSS 20MG is contraindicated during pregnancy. Consult your doctor for advice.
