DOCSER DRY SYRUP contains Cefpodoxime which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria such as acute otitis media (inflammation of middle ear leading to pain and fever), tonsilitis (sore throat, difficulty swallowing and tender lymph nodes), chronic bronchitis (inflammation of the airways present in the lungs leading to cough with mucus), community acquired pneumonia (inflammation of lungs leading to congestion), gonorrhoea (sexually transmitted infection in rectum, cervix or vagina).
It is also used to treat uncomplicated skin and structure infections (rashes, swelling, redness, pain, pus and itching), acute maxillary sinusitis (inflammation around the nasal cavity leading to headache and runny nose) and cystitis (strong, persistent urge to urinate with burning sensation and blood in the urine).
DOCSER DRY SYRUP should be avoided if you are allergic to cefpodoxime or to the cephalosporin group of antibiotics (such as cefuroxime, cefixime) or if you had experienced immediate or severe hypersensitivity reaction (anaphylaxis) to penicillin or other beta-lactam antibiotics (such as aztreonam).
Before taking DOCSER DRY SYRUP, inform your doctor if you have or ever had colitis, liver problems and impaired kidney function. Your doctor may monitor your blood count and liver enzymes level in blood tests while taking DOCSER DRY SYRUP.

Try to rest and relax. Eat and drink slowly or try to have smaller meals more frequently. Keep a heat pad on your stomach. If the symptom does not improve, consult your doctor.
Drink ample amount of water and avoid skipping meals. Get adequate rest. Try to be relaxed and stress free. Apply pain relieving balm on your forehead if necessary. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.

DOCSER DRY SYRUP should be used with caution in breast-feeding women only if considered clearly necessary as small amount of this medicine is excreted in the breast milk and may cause adverse reactions in breastfed infants such as diarrhea or mucosal fungus infection. Do not drive or operate machinery if you feel dizzy and confused after taking DOCSER DRY SYRUP.
