What DIAZOX is used for?

It is used for relief of pain and inflammation in,

  • trauma of the tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints, e.g. due to sprains, strains and bruises
  • localised forms of soft tissue rheumatism
  • osteoarthritis of superficial joints(knee)

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:

  • are allergic to diclofenac sodium, or any of the ingredients of this medicine.
  • have heart, liver or kidney problems
  • have any type of bleeding disorder or bruise very easily
  • DIAZOX should be used with caution during the first six months of pregnancy but must not be used during the last three months of pregnancy
  • Consult your doctor if you are breastfeeding. It should not be applied on the breasts of nursing mothers
  • Consult your doctor for advice if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or are breast feeding
  • DIAZOX is not for use in children
  • DIAZOX is less affect the ability to drive and use machines

Tell your doctor if you are using,

  • topical treatments with other topical products, including sunscreens, lotions, moisturizers, and cosmetics, on the same skin site
  • other medicines containing diclofenac
  • Always use this medicine exactly as told by your doctor
  • Gently smooth a small amount of liniment onto the skin over the area to be treated
  • Wash your hands after applying the liniment, unless your hands are being treated
  • Do not apply to skin wounds, infected skin or dermatitis
  • Do not allow DIAZOX to come into contact with your eyes or the inside of your nose or mouth and do not swallow it
  • Do not use an airtight occlusive dressing

If you stop using DIAZOX

  • Do not stop using DIAZOX unless told by your doctor
Very Rare

Like all medicines, DIAZOXcan cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

  • itching, rash, skin redness, inflammation, contact dermatitis, pain and blistering


  • irritation or tingling at the site of treatment
  • a painful sensation when the skin is touched, pins and needles, muscle stiffness, dermatitis
  • eczema, dry skin, swelling, rash (including scaly or blistering), sagging of the skin


  • dermatitis with large blisters

  • Keep this medicine out of reach of children
  • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
  • Store at room temperature (15-25ºC)
