INTRODUCTION

Delponorm Sachet is a probiotic supplement for the treatment of diarrhoea associated with the use of antibiotics and feeding tubes. It is also used for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (group of intestinal disorders with diarrhoea, stomach pain, excess gas, bloating etc). It contains saccharomyces boulardii as an active ingredient that helps gut to fight off with the disease-causing organisms.

Saccharomyces works by restoring the balance of good healthy bacteria in the intestine that may get disturbed after the use of antibiotics or due to any infection in the intestine.

Always take Delponorm Sachet exactly as advised by your doctor. It should be taken orally directly or mixed with water or honey. Do not exceed the daily recommended dosage. Do not mix Delponorm Sachet with food items that are too hot or cold. It is not recommended in patients having central venous catheter (tube inserted from small vein below collarbone to large vein of heart for blood transfusions, chemotherapy etc.).

Treats diarrhoea associated with,

• the use of antibiotics in adults and children
• feeding tubes in adults (tube used for supplying nutrients to patients who cannot get enough nutrition through eating, especially used in bedridden patients or severely aged people)
• bacterial or viral infections

Also treats,

• irritable bowel syndrome (group of intestinal disorders with diarrhoea, stomach pain, excess gas, bloating etc)

SIDE EFFECTS OF DELPONORM SACHET

It may cause gas, constipation, and increased thirst in some individuals. Consult a doctor if you notice any such side effects while taking it.

SAFETY ADVICE

• Always take Delponorm Sachet exactly as advised by your doctor
• Do not exceed the daily recommended dosage
• It should be taken orally directly or mixed with water or honey
• For adults, take two to four sachets a day and for children take one to tow sachets a day or as directed by your doctor
• Do not mix Delponorm Sachet with food items that are too hot or cold
• Do not take Delponorm Sachet if you are allergic to any of its ingredients, having central venous catheter(tube inserted from small vein below collarbone to large vein of heart for blood transfusions, chemotherapy etc.)
• It is not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women
• Inform your doctor on all the medicines you use including prescription, non-prescription and herbal supplements
