What is DEFZA 1MG TABLET used for?

DEFZA 1MG TABLET is ananti-inflammatory agentused to treat a number of diseases with excessive inflammation in the body. They include inflammatory diseases such as asthma (lung inflammation), rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile chronic arthritis, rheumatic carditis, polymyalgia rheumatica, and inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.

DEFZA 1MG TABLET is asteroid medicineused to treat other inflammatory reactions such as allergies, anaphylaxis (severe allergic reaction) and sarcoidosis. This medicine is also prescribed for the inflammatory eye disorders such as uveitis and optic neuritis; inflammatory disease of the skin and muscle such as dermatomyositis; and inflammatory skin disorders such as pemphigus vulgaris, bullous pemphigoid and pyoderma gangrenosum.

DEFZA 1MG TABLET is also animmunosuppressantthat can lower the white blood cells. Thus DEFZA 1MG TABLET is used to suppress the immune system in organ transplant operations, which can help prevent the rejection of transplanted organs. DEFZA 1MG TABLET is also indicated for the treatment of autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), autoimmune hepatitis, autoimmune hemolytic anemia, immune thrombocytopenic purpura and polyarteritis nodosa.

DEFZA 1MG TABLET is used to treat certain types of cancers such as acute and lymphatic leukemia, multiple myeloma (cancer of the bone marrow) and lymphoma (cancer of the lymph nodes).

DEFZA 1MG TABLET belongs to a group of medicines called glucocorticoids. This medicine works by preventing the release of certain chemicals in the body, which cause inflammation.

DEFZA 1MG TABLET may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

How to take DEFZA 1MG TABLET?

The dosage of DEFZA 1MG TABLET prescribed to each patient will vary. Always follow your physician’s instructions and/or the directions on the prescription drug label.

Take DEFZA 1MG TABLET tablet in the morning, or as directed by your physician. DEFZA 1MG TABLET should be taken after your main meals.

If your physician has instructed or directed you to take DEFZA 1MG TABLET medication in a regular schedule and you have missed a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the doses to catch up for the missed dose.

Any medication taken in excess can have serious consequences. If you suspect an overdose of DEFZA 1MG TABLET, seek medical attention immediately.

DEFZA 1MG TABLET can interact with the following types of medicines: antacids, antidiabetic tablets, barbiturates, coumarin anticoagulants, high blood pressure medicines, diuretics, beta-agonists, oral contraceptives, tuberculosis medicines, salicylates, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, epilepsy medicines, estrogens and vaccines.

Usually drug interactions occur when it is taken with another drug or with food. Before you take a medication for a particular ailment, you should inform the health expert about intake of any other medications including non-prescription medications (over-the-counter products) and dietary supplements like vitamins, minerals and herbal, which may increase the effect of DEFZA 1MG TABLET, so that the doctor can warn you of any possible drug interactions.
