What DECAPEPTYL DAILY 0.1MG is used for?

It is used in men, women and children to treat completely different conditions

In men:

  • It is used to treat prostate cancer

In women:

  • It is used to treat Endometriosis a painful condition in which endometrial tissue grows outside the uterus, often in the pelvic area

In children:

  • It is used to treat Puberty that occurs at a very young age (Precocious Puberty) which is called ‘early puberty’

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:

  • are allergic to triptorelin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
  • have a family history of osteoporosis (a condition that affects the strength of your bones)
  • have diabetes
  • have any heart problems
  • have an enlargement (benign tumor) of the pituitary gland
  • have back pain, weakness, numbness or tingling in your legs
  • have vaginal bleeding (for women)
  • If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  • Use of this medicine for children is on advice by the doctor
  • DECAPEPTYL DAILY 0.1MG have no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines

Tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken, any other medicines including medicines obtained without nonprescription.

  • DECAPEPTYL DAILY 0.1MG will be injected by a doctor or nurse


Like all medicines, DECAPEPTYL DAILY 0.1MG can have side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Very Rare
  • swallowing or breathing problems, a rash, swelling of your lips, face, throat or tongue
  • decreased urination
  • swelling or pain in the abdomen
  • headache, vaginal bleeding/spotting, inflammation at the injection site
  • infection of the upper respiratory tract
  • pharyngitis, dizziness
  • hot flushes
  • nausea, vomiting, swollen abdomen, back or pelvic pain
  • abortion, overstimulation of the ovaries (high levels of activity in the ovaries), ovarian cysts (in the beginning of the treatment)
  • pain during menstruation, pain or other reaction at the injection site and tiredness
