It is used to treat

  • diseases related to bones like osteoporosis, rickets, osteomalacia 

It also helps in normal growth of bones and cells

Tell your doctor if you are taking

  • other medicines or supplements containing vitamin D
  • Digoxin a medicine used to treat heart ailments
  • Phenytoin used for treating fits
  • medicines used for sleep disturbance (e.g. barbiturates)
  • Paraffin oil, a medicine used to treat constipation
  • cholesterol lowering medicines (e.g. cholestyramine)
  • Hydrocortisone, prednisolone medicine used to treat asthma
  • Bendroflumethiazide,medicine used to treat high blood pressure
  • Actinomycin,a medicine used to treat cancer
  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you.

If you take more D SHINE

  • Contact your doctor if you took more D SHINE than you should

If you forget to take D SHINE

  • Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
  • Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for the next scheduled dose

If you stop taking D SHINE

  • Do not stop taking this medication until your doctor instructs you to

  • too much calcium in your blood or urine marked by loss of appetite,stomach ache,constipation,drowsiness or confusion
