CYCLOBID TABLET is a combination of Dicyclomine, and Paracetamol which belongs to the group of medicines called Antispasmodics, Analgesic and Anti-pyretic respectively. It is used for the treatment of stomach cramps, renal and biliary colic, as well as pain from gynaecologic or surgical conditions. It is also used to treat functional bowel disease and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Avoid consuming alcohol while taking CYCLOBID TABLET, as it may increase the side effects. CYCLOBID TABLET is not recommended in patients with an unstable cardiovascular condition with acute haemorrhage, myasthenia gravis, glaucoma, obstructive uropathy, obstructive disease of the gastrointestinal tract, severe ulcerative colitis, or reflux esophagitis.
CYCLOBID TABLET should be used with caution in patients with severe liver and kidney disease, hypertension, coronary heart disease, congestive heart failure, cardiac tachyarrhythmia, psychosis, and delirium (such as elderly patients and/or in patients with mental illness), incomplete intestinal obstruction (the small intestine partially or totally blocked), patients with salmonella dysentery, ulcerative colitis (inflammatory bowel disease), prostatic hypertrophy (prostate gland enlargement), hyperthyroidism, alcoholism, and in patients who take painkillers often for headache, etc.
CYCLOBID TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant women, unless considered necessary. CYCLOBID TABLET is not recommended for use by breastfeeding women. CYCLOBID TABLET is not recommended for use by children under 10 years of age. CYCLOBID TABLET should be used with caution by elderly patients.
The most common side effects of taking CYCLOBID TABLET are hypersensitivity reactions, dry mouth, upset stomach, vomiting, constipation, and gas or bloating. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms get worse.
CYCLOBID TABLET is an antispasmodic works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It prevents unexpected muscular contractions (spasms). It also reduces bloating, pain, cramps, and discomfort. Paracetamol is analgesics and antipyretic as well works by inhibiting both COX-1 and COX-2 enzyme and prevents prostaglandin synthesis, thus reliefs pain.
Take CYCLOBID TABLET as advised by your physician. With a glass of water, take the tablet. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Depending on your age, body weight, disease condition, your doctor will fix the correct dose and duration for you.
Stop taking CYCLOBID TABLET and contact your physician immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
Consume a lot of foods high in fibre, such as grains, fresh fruits, and vegetables. Drink water and exercise regularly. Contact your doctor if constipation persists.
Drink plenty of water and fruit juice to keep yourself hydrated. Contact your doctor if the diarrhoea did not improve.
Try to rest and relax. Get enough sleep. Avoid driving or operate machinery if you feel drowsiness or dizziness. Avoid alcohol consumption as it aggravates dizziness or drowsiness. Contact your doctor if dizziness or drowsiness worsen.
Take the medicine, with or just after a meal. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily or spicy food. If the nausea does not improve, consult your doctor.
CYCLOBID TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant women, unless considered necessary. Contact your doctor before taking CYCLOBID TABLET.
CYCLOBID TABLET is not recommended in breastfeeding women. Contact your doctor before taking CYCLOBID TABLET.
Do not drive or operate any machines, while taking CYCLOBID TABLET, or things that require mental alertness, as it may cause blurred vision or drowsiness.
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking CYCLOBID TABLET, as it may increase the side effects.

Signs and symptoms of overdose may include headache, nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, dilated pupils, hot, dry skin, dizziness, dryness of the mouth, difficulty in swallowing, CNS stimulation including convulsion, loss of appetite, stomach pain and liver damage.
