INTRODUCTION
CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM is a combination of Clobetasol and Gentamicin which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids and Antibiotics respectively. It is used to treat bacterial infections and inflammations of the skin.
During the treatment your doctor might regularly examine your skin to avoid any untoward side effects.
Avoid smoking while using CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.
CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM is not recommended for use in children (ages less than 1 year). Before using CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM, inform your doctor if you have skin conditions like fungal infections, severe flushing on and around your nose, spotty red rash around your mouth, infected or itchy skin around the genitals.
CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM should be used with caution in pregnant women. CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women.
The most common side effects of using CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM are burning, pain, irritation or itching where the medicine is applied. Contact your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.

HOW CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM WORKS
CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM treats affected skin where Clobetasol induces certain proteins (lipocortins), that control the production of inflammatory mediators like prostaglandins and leukotrienes, thus reducing inflammation, and Gentamicin binds to 30s ribosomal subunit, disrupting mRNA translation, resulting in the formation of shortened or non-functional proteins.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Apply CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Apply a thin layer of the medicine to the affected area of the skin and rub it gently. Avoid contact with eyes. Your doctor will decide the right dose depends on your age, body weight and severity of infection.
SIDE EFFECTS OF CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM
COMMON
- burning, pain, irritation or itching (application site reactions)
UNCOMMON
- skin thinning that may cause stretch marks
- blood vessels under the skin surface may become more visible
RARE
Stop using CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM and consult your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
- rounding of the face
- increased risk of infection
- dryness of skin
- easy damage or wrinkling of the skin
- worsening of skin problems (generalized rash or swelling)
- raised bumps with pus under the skin
- blurred vision or other visual disturbances
- new bone pain or worsening of previous bone symptoms
- overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms like fungi, irritation, sensitization, or superinfection

PREGNANCY

BREASTFEEDING

ALLERGY
ContraindicatedDo not use CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM if you are allergic to Clobetasol, Gentamicin, or any other ingredients of this medicine.
OTHERS
CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM is not recommended for use if you:
- have acne
- have rosacea (sudden reddening of skin on and around your nose)
- have perioral dermatitis (red spotty rash around your mouth)
- have itching around genital parts
- have any infection
- have itchy skin without inflammation
- have widespread plaque psoriasis
Before using CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM inform your doctor if you:
- have psoriasis
Use in Pediatrics:
CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM is not recommended for use in children (less than 1 year of age). Consult your doctor before using the medicine.
INTERACTIONS
A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Before using CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:
- other medicines used to treat inflammation (Ex. prednisolone, hydrocortisone)
- medicines used to control your immune system (Ex. ciclosporin, tacrolimus)
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally applies too much of CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM, contact your doctor immediately or visit nearby hospital.

Q: What if I forget to apply a dose of CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM?
A: If you forget to apply a dose of CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM, do it as soon as you remember. However, omit the missed dose if it is almost time for the next dose. Do not apply extra medicine to make up for a forgotten dose.
Q: Can CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM be used on infants?
A: No. CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM is not recommended for children (below 1 year of age). Your doctor will decide the correct dose or select a suitable alternative therapy for your child.
Q: Can CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM be used in breastfeeding?
A: CLOVIVA PLUS CREAM is not recommended for use during breast feeding. Do not apply it on your breast area so that the baby does not accidentally ingest the medicine.
