CLINDASTA 150MG INJECTIONcontains Clindamycin, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to treat serious bacterial infections. Bacterial infection occurs when bacteria enter the body, increase in number and cause a reaction in the body. Symptoms include fever, fatigue, headache, nausea, vomiting and swollen lymph nodes in the neck, armpits, groin or elsewhere.
CLINDASTA 150MG INJECTION is not recommended if you have a serious infection in the brain. Before receiving CLINDASTA 150MG INJECTION, inform your doctor if you have or ever had problems with your stomach or intestines (bowel disease, diarrhea), hay fever, asthma, eczema, kidney, and liver problems.
CLINDASTA 150MG INJECTION should be used with caution in pregnant women. CLINDASTA 150MG INJECTION is generally not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Children above 1 month of age can receive CLINDASTA 150MG INJECTION with caution. The most common side effects of receiving CLINDASTA 150MG INJECTION are blood clots, abnormalities in liver function tests and rashes. Consult your doctor if your symptoms do not improve.
CLINDASTA 150MG INJECTION acts against the bacteria by binding to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome (site of protein synthesis). Which in turn prevents protein synthesis and kills the infection-causing bacteria.
CLINDASTA 150MG INJECTION will be administered to you only by a doctor or a nurse into your muscle(intramuscular) or vein (intravenous, via a drip). Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight and disease condition.
Stop receiving CLINDASTA 150MG INJECTION and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

No, CLINDASTA 150MG INJECTION has a high chance to interfere with the contraceptive pills which may not be effective to help in preventing pregnancy. Use additional contraception, such as a condom, even after seven days after the last injection.
