What is CERTICAN 0.25mg Tablet used for?
CERTICAN 0.25mg Tablet is used to prevent the rejection of transplanted organ in patients who have undergone a kidney, liver or heart transplant. Transplant rejection occurs when the organ recipient’s immune system attacks the transplanted organ.
CERTICAN 0.25mg Tablet helps prevent transplant rejection by suppressing the immune system. CERTICAN 0.25mg Tablet belongs to the group of drugs called anti-rejection medications. CERTICAN 0.25mg Tablet is used in combination with other medicines to prevent transplant rejection in organ transplant patients. CERTICAN 0.25mg Tablet may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
How to take CERTICAN 0.25mg Tablet?
The dosage of CERTICAN 0.25mg Tablet may vary based on the patient’s age, gender, body weight, medical condition and response to treatment. Always follow your physician’s instructions and/or the directions on the prescription drug label.
Swallow the CERTICAN 0.25mg Tablet tablets whole with a full glass of water. Do not crush or chew the CERTICAN 0.25mg Tablet tablets.
Always take CERTICAN 0.25mg Tablet tablets in the same way everyday, either with or without food.
To note:Do not take CERTICAN 0.25mg Tablet with grapefruit juice.
If your physician has instructed or directed you to take CERTICAN 0.25mg Tablet medication in a regular schedule and you have missed a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the doses to catch up for the missed dose.

What are the drugs that interact with CERTICAN 0.25mg Tablet?

CERTICAN 0.25mg Tablet can interact with the following types of medicines: antibiotics, antifungal medicines, high blood pressure medicines, heart medicines, epilepsy medicines, HIV/AIDS medicines and cholesterol-lowering medications. Avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice as well.
Make sure to inform your doctor if you are taking any of the above-mentioned medicines.
