What CENTAFLOX is used for?

CENTAFLOX is used in the treatment of,

  • bacterial conjunctivitis caused by susceptible microorganisms
  • corneal ulcers
  • blepharitis

Talk to your doctor before using this medicine, if you:

  • are suffering from any other eye problems such as glaucoma
  • are allergic to moxifloxacin, to other quinolones or to any of the components in this medication
  • wear contact lenses
  • Since there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, CENTAFLOX should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus
  • Caution should be exercised when CENTAFLOX is administered to a nursing mother
  • Consult your doctor for advice
  • The safety and effectiveness of CENTAFLOX in infants below 1 year of age have not been established
  • Do not drive or operate machines while using this medicine as it may cause blurred vision
  • Talk to your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicine including prescription and non-prescription medicines
  • The usual recommended dose of CENTAFLOX is half an inch ribbon, twice or thrice a day

  • If you have used more contact your doctor immediately

If you forget to use CENTAFLOX

  • If you forget to use this medicine, take it as soon as you remember

If you stop using CENTAFLOX

  • Do not stop using this medicine without consulting your doctor
