CEFADROX CV TABLET is a combination of Cefadroxil and Clavulanic acid which belongs to the group of medicines called Cephalosporins and Beta-lactamase Inhibitors. It is used to treat bacterial infections like urinary tract infections and respiratory tract infections like pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, bronchiectasis, pneumonia, skin and skin structure infections, gonococcal urethritis and ear, nose and throat infections like chronic maxillary sinusitis and chronic otitis media.
CEFADROX CV TABLET should be used with caution in patients with lung, liver or kidney disease and gastrointestinal diseases like colitis and fits. CEFADROX CV TABLET should be used with caution in pregnancy only if necessary. In breastfeeding women, CEFADROX CV TABLET should be used with caution.
In children over the age of six, CEFADROX CV TABLET should be used with caution.CEFADROX CV TABLET should be used with caution in patients over the age of 65. The most common side effect of taking CEFADROX CV TABLET is diarrhoea. Contact your doctor if any of your symptoms get worse and persist.

CEFADROX CV TABLET helps to treat bacterial infections, where Cefadroxil is a cephalosporin antibiotic and works by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, leading to bacterial cell lysis and death. Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that works by binding and inhibiting beta-lactamase (an enzyme that destroys antibiotic activity) produced by bacterial cells and thereby prevents the reduction in antibacterial activity.
Take CEFADROX CV TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicines with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight and disease condition.
Stop taking CEFADROX CV TABLET and contact your physician immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

Drink lots of fluids, such as water or fruit juices to keep you hydrated. Do not take any medicine on your own for treating diarrhoea. Contact your doctor if the diarrhoea did not improve.
