CANDIFEM Tablet is used for the treatment of fungal and bacterial infection. It is also recommended to treat certain infections after surgery.

How does CANDIFEM Tablet work?
In CANDIFEM Tablet, Miconazole belongs to the class of drugs called azole derivatives. This drug acts by inhibiting the synthesis of the fungal cell wall by interfering with the synthesis of ergosterol. This prevents the growth of fungi.
Ornidazole belongs to the class of drugs called 5-nitroimidazole derivatives. This drug acts by inhibiting the protein synthesis of the susceptible organism and causes cell death.
How to use CANDIFEM Tablet?
The dosage and the drug form depend on the age, weight and medical condition of an individual. Take CANDIFEM Tablet as prescribed by your doctor.
- Swallow the whole tablet but, do not crush or chew the tablet. Take the drug with or without food. However, taking the drug with food prevents stomach upset.
