What CALPOL PLUS is used for?

It is used in the management of mild to moderate pain and inflammation in conditions such as:

  • headache, migraine, fever, post-operative pain, dental pain, musculoskeletal and joint disorders
  • peri-articular disorders
  • soft tissue disorders (sprains and strains)

Talk to your doctor, if you:

  • are allergic to any other ingredients of this medicine
  • have stomach ulcer, perforation or bleeding
  • have severe heart, kidney or liver problems
  • have asthma
  • are dehydrated
  • It is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation
  • Consult your doctor for advice
  • Your doctor will give you the right dose depends on your child’s age and body weight
[DRIVINGMACHINES]

Tell your doctor about all the medicines you take including,

  • barbiturates (sedative)
  • tricyclic antidepressants
  • warfarin (used to prevent blood clotting)
  • domperidone and metoclopramide (used to treat nausea and vomiting)
  • anticonvulsants (medicines used to treat epilepsy or fits)
  • pain killers (including NSAIDs)
  • medicines for heart problem
  • corticosteroids (for pain and swelling)
  • quinolone antibiotics (for infection)
  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
  • Shake well before use

If you take more CALPOL PLUS

  • If you take more of this medicine, contact your doctor or go to nearest hospital immediately
  • Symptoms of overdose: paleness, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain 

If you forget to take CALPOL PLUS

  • Take the next dose when needed
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose

If you stop taken CALPOL PLUS

  • Before stop taking this medicine consult your doctor

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

  • skin rash, flaking skin, boils, sore lips and mouth, swelling of the face, fever
  • sudden wheezing
  • bruising more easily, sore throat or other signs of infection (these may be signs of a blood disorder)
  • severe pain in the abdomen and back, with fever, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting (these may be signs of pancreas inflammation)
  • unexplained wheezing (asthma), worsening of existing asthma, difficulty in breathing, swelling of the face, tongue, neck or throat, fast heart rate, feeling faint or dizzy or collapse (severe allergic reactions)
  • yellowing of the skin or eyes, pale stools or upper abdominal pain (these may be signs of liver problems)
[COMMON]
  • nausea or vomiting
  • headache
  • diarrhoea
  • constipation, flatulence
  • serious skin reactions
  • worsening of colitis or Crohn's disease
