INTRODUCTION

BUDEXA 1.0MG contains Budesonide which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids. It is used to treat asthma. Asthma is a respiratory disease in which the airways become inflamed, swollen, and narrowed. It also causes excessive mucous secretion in the airways which makes it difficult for the air to pass through the airways leading to unpleasant symptoms like wheezing, difficulty in breathing, chest pain or cough.

BUDEXA 1.0MG can also be used to treat croup in infants and in children. Croup is a respiratory infection that causes barking sound in children due to blockage in the upper respiratory tract.

Budesonide is a steroid medication. It works on the airways and prevents the cells present in the airways from releasing certain chemicals that causes inflammation and swelling. As results, it prevents asthma attack and improves breathing.

BUDEXA 1.0MG is for inhalation use only. Do not stop using BUDEXA 1.0MG once your symptoms subside without consulting your doctor. Make sure to rinse your mouth with water after inhaling the medicine to avoid the risk of fungal infections in the oral cavity.

Before using BUDEXA 1.0MG, inform your doctor if you have any lung infections, cold or chest infection. You must also inform your doctor if you have any liver problems. BUDEXA 1.0MG should be used in pregnant women only if considered necessary by the doctor. It should be used with caution in children and in the elderly patients.

If you experience sudden episodes of breathlessness, wheezing or chest tightness while undergoing therapy with BUDEXA 1.0MG, consult your doctor immediately. Do not stop using BUDEXA 1.0MG in the meanwhile.

During treatment with BUDEXA 1.0MG, your doctor will periodically monitor your health condition to avoid the risk of side effects. The most common side effects of using BUDEXA 1.0MG are oral thrush (fungal infection in the mouth), sore throat and hoarseness of voice. Consult your doctor if any of these side effect worsens.
