What BRIOGUT is used for?

  • It is used to help the normal balance of bacteria in the colon

  • are allergic to BRIOGUT or any other ingredients of this medicine
  • are allergic to milk
  • have chronic disease
  • have a central venous catheter
  • have immune system problems
  • If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or planning to have baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  • BRIOGUT is not recommended for children or infants unless prescribed by a doctor
  • Contact your pediatrician regarding the use of this BRIOGUT in children. Special care may be needed

Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines especially:

  • medications for fungal infections, such as fluconazole, itraconazole, ketoconazole, nystatin or voriconazole
  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
  • Take this medicine by mouth
  • It is important to shake the bottle for at least 10 seconds before use
  • Always use the spoon supplied with the pack. Do not overfill the spoon
  • Swallow the undiluted solution
  • Do not mix the solution with any other liquid

If you take more BRIOGUT

  • If you take more BRIOGUT, or if someone else has taken your medicine, talk to your doctor immediately and you may need medical attention

If you forgot to take BRIOGUT

  • If you have forgotten to take your BRIOGUT, take them as soon as possible on the same day. Do not take a double dose

If you stop taking BRIOGUT

  • Do not stop taking the BRIOGUT, until the doctor has told you to do so
